This gal loves the water. Most afternoons end with us floating on the raft watching Evvie fly into the air (she says “doo” and points both fingers to the sky) and come crashing in the pond. She hunts frogs with Matt and giggles hysterically when they hop, disoriented through the grass.

She is very into hugs right now. She rests her head, squeezes her arms and pats your back gently. I melt.

This is the view that is starting to shape up from our house. It’s beautiful! We (well, the loggers) pulled an old maple tree from this strange 6′ hole on the property and filled it with dirt. Ev assumed it was for her, but we had big plans for a tiny garden!

Which totally materialized one muggy Saturday.

Next spring we’ll teach her to mow the lawn, which she seems to be fine with as long as country music is blasting from her machine.

Our first rainy evening

I believe when designing this kitchen, we debated going with a smaller sink, but imagined our kid playing in it and needing something bigger. I’m not sure even our imaginations had come up with anything this cute 🙂
